It was Tuesday morning. A man was passing on the road. He was going to the Mathare North Area One. There were boys standing in the road and they asked the man “Where do you think you are going?”
The man answered, “I am going to Mathare.”
“Which tribe are you?”
The man answered, “I am a Kenyan.”
The boys tried to hit the man, running across the road, jumping and hitting him with pangas and stones. The man cried and cried and after a few minutes the policemen arrived. They were hitting and cutting people with knives and stealing from them. People were crying and others were laughing, it was too terrible for those who were passing with black faces.
People were asking each other why people were fighting when the leaders were resting. The police were throwing tear gas, others were crying and others had to leave their homes and live in internally displaced people camps.

Please Raila and Kibaki, do something for these people who are staying in camps.

That is just terrifying. I will never understand how people can be so mean to others for no reason, just because you are in a different tribe does not make you less and worth inflicting pain onto others. These mean people need to be taught a good hard lesson. What goes around comes around and I sure hope they get what they deserve!

People are ignorant to think that some people are worse than others because of their tribes. Thank you for sharing your condition and we will pray for people in your country.

Mavish there is nothing that I can say that can add to your wonderful “blogs”, apart from the fact I only wish that many adults and leaders could see as clearly as you.
As a soldier in the British forces for 24 years I have witnessed and been part of many like situations, and know how deep these events sit inside you.Continue doing your fine writings and believe me when I say they are doing more good than any political party.Well done.
Times are changing..and you ,with the youth of today, will bring Kenya into a new era.Study well my friend..
